No advisory relationship
An advisory relationship begins only when Lincoln 82 and a client sign a written agreement. Contacting Lincoln 82, submitting an inquiry or taking part in a consultation does not create one.
Recommendations, not decisions
Lincoln 82 identifies risks and recommends ways to address them. The client owns those risks. The client alone decides whether to accept, reduce, transfer or avoid each one, which recommendations to act on, and how and when to act. Lincoln 82 does not carry out recommendations on the client’s behalf and is not responsible for the client’s decisions about them.
A point-in-time assessment
Findings reflect the conditions observed and the information available at the time of the assessment, including information the client provides. Properties, routines, neighborhoods, technology and threats change, and findings may not remain accurate after the report date. Risks that were not observable, not disclosed or not reasonably discoverable during the engagement may not be identified.
No guarantee of outcome
No assessment can eliminate risk. Lincoln 82 does not prevent crime and does not guarantee that following any recommendation will prevent loss, damage, injury or any other outcome. Security outcomes depend in part on the decisions of people outside the control of both the client and Lincoln 82, including people intent on causing harm.
Scope of services
Lincoln 82 provides written advisory services only. It does not provide security personnel, sell or install equipment, or monitor any system. It does not provide firearms training, use-of-force instruction or advice on armed team tactics. It does not investigate individuals; those requests are referred to licensed Ohio private investigators.
Not legal advice and not an emergency service
Nothing Lincoln 82 provides is legal advice. For questions of law, consult an attorney. Lincoln 82 is not an emergency or monitoring service. In an emergency, call 911.
Reliance
Reports are prepared solely for the client named in the signed agreement. No other person may rely on them.
Signed agreement controls
If anything in this disclaimer conflicts with a signed client agreement, the agreement controls.
