Residential Security Advisory

Understand what your home is actually exposed to.

A camera, an alarm and a strong lock each address a different question. A residential assessment looks at the whole property and the way your household uses it.

On-site engagements available in Ohio only.

What the assessment covers

What you receive

A four-part written assessment, grounded in your property and the conditions observed.

  1. 01

    Internal advisor note

The advisor’s working note documents the assessment context and reasoning behind the findings.

  2. 02

    Executive summary

A concise overview of the important findings and the decisions they raise.

  3. 03

    Full assessment report

Detailed findings tied to the conditions observed, rather than a generic equipment checklist.

  4. 04

    Prioritized action plan

Recommendations sequenced by what to address first, with a clear basis for each priority.

FROM A SAMPLE ASSESSMENT

F-12The front doorbell camera is mounted too high to record a usable face

Priority: Near term

Observed. The doorbell camera is mounted at approximately seventy two inches. Review of recorded footage with the client showed that an adult standing at the door is captured from above, producing a clear image of the top of the head and the shoulders.

Why it matters. A camera's only job is to produce an image someone can act on. A downward angle at close range produces a hat, not a face. This is the single most common installation error in consumer systems and it is almost always the camera the owner trusts most.

Recommended. Lower the unit to between forty eight and sixty inches, or fit an angled mounting wedge to bring the lens level with a standing adult's face. Verify by reviewing recorded footage of a household member at the door, not by looking at the live view.

What we do not do

We write assessments. We do not sell, install, service or monitor security equipment of any kind. We do not provide security personnel, guards or protective details. We do not investigate individuals, run background checks, or research any person's identity, conduct, movements or whereabouts; those requests are referred to licensed Ohio private investigators. Nothing we provide is legal advice. All findings reflect professional judgment and are not guarantees of any outcome.
