FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Why would I need a security assessment?
Most people don’t have a security problem. They have a handful of gaps they’ve never had a reason to look for: a camera that records the top of a head, a door that gets propped every morning, a routine everyone knows. An assessment puts trained eyes on your home, business or travel plans so you find those gaps on your schedule, not after something happens. Prepared, not paranoid.
How would this help my business?
You get a clear picture of what you’re exposed to and what matters most, so you spend money where it reduces risk instead of where a sales pitch points you. Recommendations are built around how your business actually runs, and many of the best fixes are changes in habit or setup, not purchases.
What do I actually get?
A written report built from an on-site walk of your property or a review of your travel plans, with each recommendation ranked Now, Soon or When convenient. You decide what to act on and when. A sample report is available on request.
What don’t you do?
Lincoln 82 is written advisory only. No security guards, no installation, no monitoring and no investigations. If your concern involves a specific person, I’ll point you to a licensed private investigator.
Who do you work with?
Homeowners, small businesses, churches and other houses of worship, and individuals or families who travel. On-site work is in Ohio. Travel briefs cover destinations anywhere, though some high-risk destinations need specialized providers, and I’ll tell you if yours is one of them.
Is there anyone you can’t work with?
Sometimes. Certain engagements can create a conflict of interest, and some requests fall outside written advisory work. We’ll identify either one during the consultation, before anything is signed.
What happens in the free consultation?
A 30-minute Microsoft Teams call at no cost. You tell me what’s on your mind, I ask questions, and we figure out whether this is a fit. It’s a conversation about your situation, not the assessment itself, so I won’t be diagnosing your property over the call. If it’s a fit, you’ll get a written quote.
How much does it cost?
Every engagement has a fixed price, written out in a quote after your free consultation, so you know the full cost before you commit. No hourly billing surprises. Travel beyond the local area may add mileage, and an expedited option is available for an added fee. A 50 percent deposit starts the work; the balance is due before your report is released.
How long does it take?
Your report is delivered about two weeks after the site visit or, for travel, after your questionnaire is complete. If you need it sooner, an expedited option is available for an added fee.
What happens to my information?
Everything you share stays confidential. I sign a non-disclosure agreement with every client before any work starts, and photos are taken only with your written consent. Full details are in the Privacy Policy.
Why should I trust you?
More than thirty years across the Marine Corps, law enforcement and private-sector security, including twenty years in law enforcement. I hold the CPP and PCI board certifications from ASIS International. I’ll tell you what I’d do and why, and the decision stays yours.
